Four Portages Bay to Wadin Bay

About this Canoe Route

Four Portages Bay to Wadin Bay

The Four Portages Bay to Wadin Bay canoe trip is a great long weekend trip for family or a group of friends. This canoe trip starts just south of the community of Stanley Mission and continues southwest to Wadin Bay, ~25km north of La Ronge. Experience the fresh water of Lac La Ronge in the beautiful boreal forest on this quiet canoe trip.

No whitewater experience is required for this primarily lake canoe route. This is a great canoe trip for taking your kids and inexperienced paddling friends with you to get them into the canoe tripping life. Although the trip is mainly on Lac La Ronge, a large open lake, this particular trip travels along the edge of the lake where there are many large islands that provide coverage from heavy winds that could lead to big waves on a big lake.

Paddlers can hire the canoe shuttle service from Montreal River Outpost for both drop off and pick up for this canoe trip.
