Montreal River Bridge to Bridge
About this Canoe Route
Montreal River Bridge to Bridge
For experienced whitewater paddlers, this 30km section of river, which has a Highway 2 bridge put-in and a Highway 165 take-out, is an adrenaline-filled day!
Beware, water level in the river greatly affects the characteristic of the rapids. Under low water conditions many rocks will be exposed and may require lining in places; under high water most of the rocks will be submerged and the river becomes pushy with large wave trains. Many of the rapids are long and a dump can mean a long swim. Do not underestimate this river.
We offer canoe rentals and shuttle service for your convenience. Contact Montreal River Outpost for water conditions to be fully prepared for what the Montreal River currently offers. Enjoy!
